Nappy Pic of the Week :: Minky Made With Love

There is only one thing better than buying a minky nappy and that's a minky nappy that someone has made with love just for you. This gorgeous creation is the latest addition to Zoe's growing nappy stash. We didn't buy it (won't my husband be relieved), but it was made as a thank you gift for us by a lovely woman I know named Carrie from the Nappy Addicts Forum.

A few weeks ago she presented the forum with a dilemma. A photo of her son she desperately wanted to use for framing had a huge yellow date stamp on it, which covered his arm. Having removed things like that once or twice before many years ago I told her I would have a go at getting rid of it. Long story short, I did it! It took me twice as long as it should have because I botched the first attempt, but in the end you could barely even notice that it had been there. As a thank you Carrie sent us this beautiful nappy. Thank you Carrie! It's so great that I feel like we owe you now.

The pattern on the minky is highly detailed. Carrie and I both loved how the pattern placement worked out, with this little girl on a swing landing right in the middle of the back of the nappy.

There is also a magical castle which looks like it belongs in a faraway land,

and this painting boy, who looks like he needs to be notified that there is a fox looking over his shoulder and a bear approaching him with an open mouth. He seems completely unaware of the danger he's in and frankly I'm worried! LOL!

The nappy has lots of growing room, but is not absurdly big for now so we will get lots of wear out of it. I did try to take this photo of the front, but in the end it just became a desperate attempt to keep Zoe from eating the roses.

Her smile says it all. We love it and consider ourselves very lucky. Thanks again Carrie! It's the perfect way to say thank you to a MCN obsessed mumma and her wee one.
